Katakana Expressions ???
KATAKANA EXPRESSIONS
There are so many different katakana expressions in Japanese that stem from foreign languages. Apparently, even many native Japanese speakers sometimes have difficulty distinguishing between Japanese words and foreign words. Sometimes, words that should be written in katakana are written in hiragana. Many words on online menus for places like Mcdonalds' and Mos Burger have items on their menu that are written in katakana such as チキン and コーヒー. I'm assuming that these words are in katakana because they are words that do not come from Japan. And, in many of the animes I watch, some characters use onomatopoeia such as ゴゴゴゴ or, as shown above in the MHA scene, ブツブツブツ. All of the usages of katana are very fascinating to me.
